Kayla’s Goodbye to Indiana INTERNnet

This is my last post here on IndianaINTERN.net and while I am so incredibly sad to leave, I am so excited for what the future holds. That is why internships are so amazing, you get a shortened amount of time to get your feet wet in a career field and see what the future could potentially hold. I know I have said this a lot but starting my internship search and experience early has been a huge impact and influence on my life. I hope all you Indiana interns out there you are stepping out of your comfort zone and applying for as many internships out there. I hope that my blogs either made you laugh or gave you some sort of insight to being an intern or college student.

Indiana INTERNnet Team:

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Coming into this position I was so unaware of what I …

Finals Week Told by Rachel Green Gifs

Most students are finishing up finals and ready for a month full of sleeping, eating, and more sleeping. What better way to reflect on the emotional roller coaster that is finals week than to see it told by my favorite Friends character, Rachel Green?

When you’re studying all night and know the answer to everything this course could possibly throw at you, but you come across something the professor never mentioned.

The Best Things To Do in Indiana This Winter

I know that we just had Thanksgiving break and most people are thinking about finals week (which is just around the corner), but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun and spend some time with family and friends. A couple weeks ago I curated a list that was perfect for the fall/spooky time but now it is time for winter/snowy season

Christmas at the Zoo – Indianapolis, IN

Christmas at the Zoo is a classic for the holidays. Lights, hot cocoa and cute animals make for the perfect night out with friends or family. While there are some inside portions be prepared to be outside for most of the evening. The lights are stunning and offer a ton of great places to take pictures.

Light Displays – All Over Indiana

Another great option to experience lights is Winterlights at Newfields. Take a stroll through the thousands of lights and …

What We’re Thankful For

Since Thanksgiving is almost here, the Indiana INTERNnet team thinks on what they’re grateful for.

Kayla Walke, Intern: I am thankful for everyone here at Indiana INTERNnet. This has been the best place to start off my professional career. From the people I have met to the opportunities I have been exposed to, I am so incredibly grateful for this opportunity to be able to grow and learn in such an amazing atmosphere. To everyone at the Chamber and the whole INTERNnet team, thank you for the constant support, advice, and kindness throughout these past couple of months. From board meetings to events, I have been able to learn so much knowledge that is not taught in the classroom.

Angela Taylor, Program Assistant: I’m thankful this year was full of change, good and bad, because with change comes growth. I love working with a team of fun, food-centric people. My …
