The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership exists to build a more prosperous Northeast Indiana for its residents.  Its mission is to build,  market,  and sell Northeast Indiana to increase business investment.  Its efforts to sell the region focuses on prospecting potential employers through various resources,  developing contacts into leads,  and selling companies on the prospect of moving/relocating to Northeast Indiana.  The Business Development Intern will help advance these efforts by managing a diverse portfolio of projects aimed at ensuring Northeast Indiana has the data and information needed to connect with prospective employers.  The Business Development Intern will research,  prospect,  and organize information related to prospective companies;  as well as assist in the coordination and execution of business development travel.


  • Events
    • Assist in coordinating logistical arrangements for events and meetings,  including venue,  catering,  scheduling,  presentations,  handouts,  invitation and registration lists,  and pre-  and post-event communications as needed
  • Research &  execution

    • Research various topics of importance to all business development priorities;

Organize,  develop,  coordinate,  analyze and research data and information on the Region,  demographics,  industry clusters,  and target groups.

  • Prospect for upcoming Business Development trips
  • Ensure follow up communication and data input from travel

    • Develop positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders

The Business Development Intern must be a team player,  proactive worker and staff supporter.  The intern must have a High School Diploma and be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.  They should enjoy a challenge,  be comfortable with tight schedules and have a solid grasp on multi-tasking.  The intern should possess the following experience,  skills,  and characteristics:
