Apex is seeking a marketing intern to assist the team in meeting aggressive external and internal communications objectives.  You will provide support across all marketing functions.  Duties will vary providing excellent exposure to all areas of corporate communications.

A strong attention to detail is required as well as the ability to prioritize and multi-task.  This role requires strong writing and editing skills and experience in coordinating social media campaigns for business.  Candidates must have demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Suite. WordPress experience preferred.

Seeking undergrad (at least junior status), grad student or recent graduate committed to completing a 12-week internship in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Summary of essential job functions/responsibilities

  • Writing (technical documents, sales sheets, blogs) and editing
  • Social media management
  • Graphic design
  • Campaign planning and implementation
  • Research and data analysis
  • Media relations
  • Event planning, coordination and support
  • Update websites as requested
  • Some photography and/or videography support
  • Participate in meetings as requested
  • Some clerical and manual labor duties
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • Proven writing skills (samples will be reviewed)
  • Proficient with Word, Excel and other Office programs
  • Experience with design (Abode Creative Suite required)
  • Experience with MailChimp or similar email platforms preferred
  • Photography/videography skills preferred
  • Ability to learn and adapt to change quickly
  • Able to demonstrate and always maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to occasionally work after hours
  • Transportation required
  • Junior or higher status in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations or related degree program
