Description
- Work directly with participants to assess needs and provide assistance.
- Assist their clients in identifying personal goals, developing leadership skills, and planning career moves.
- Daily duties may include helping clients hunt down new employment opportunities, providing feedback on resumes or cover letters, and strategizing for a successful job interview.
- Career Coach will hold workshops, network, and maintain relationships to promote career opportunities actively.
- Coordinate participant needs with appropriate agencies and community support groups.
Responsibilities
- Provide consistent case management supported by a participant plan, connection to resources associated with the Social Service Supports objectives and consistent follow-up and coaching
- Identify services available to each participant both within FBGNC and externally, determine eligibility, and make appropriate referrals and assist as necessary
- Review intakes, applications and other participant forms for completeness and accuracy;
- Connect participants to workshops and training, by directly developing curriculum or connecting to community agencies that will support skill development
Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to represent the agency to internal and external audiences through public speaking experiences
- Self-directed and motivated
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to network, collaborate and foster partnerships with numerous organizations
