Description

The Power of Children Images Project Intern will assist the exhibits team by organizing image assets and uploading all Power of Children (POC) exhibit image files to the museum’s Digital Asset Management system (DAM).  Intern will analyze all images in the exhibit, as well as, those stored in multiple locations, make recommendations for organization of files and upload to the DAM.

Responsibilities

  • Review of the current images in POC
  • Review of images stored in exhibit digital and physical files
  • Review of images stored in DAM system
  • Propose a plan for the effective organization of all images

- Includes making recommendations how to properly label and tag assets in the DAM system for quick identification

  • Implement approved plan

- Upload POC images to DAM, ensuring all fields are properly filled out for staff to easily access specific files when searching the system

- Create labels and tags for the new images being acquired for Malala’s area in POC

Qualifications

  • Be a sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in History, Marketing, Museum Studies, or Business 
  • Attend POC Malala exhibit meetings
  • Review other permanent exhibit images which will need to be uploaded to the DAM system
  • Assist with image research
  • Submit requests for image/video licensing
