Description
Are you a currently enrolled engineering student who is looking for an opportunity to gain real world experience in metal fabrication? We are looking for talented, mechanically inclined intern applicants to take on several business improving initiatives.
Skills and experience you will be introduced to:
- Ability to program and operate pressbrakes and understand the theory behind the process
- Ability to unfold bent components and develop flats for flat laser cutting machines
- Design and detail fixtures in Solidworks
- Exposure to welding fundamentals
- Ability to program tube lasers
- Ability to develop Bluco welding fixtures and program/setup Virtek laser positioner
Responsibilities
Projects you will work on:
- Software implementation for bend processes
- Pressbrake Bend Tooling inventory update in current system and new system
- Pressbrake Material bend reductions update
- Overhaul our fixture design and hardware processes to reduce lead time and improve accuracy of the final product
- Process documentation for engineering systems to drive standardization and reduce waste and mistakes
- New part launch for fabricated products

- MasterCAM
- Virtek Iris
- Artube
Qualifications
Required education: High school diploma. Also must be working towards an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree.
