Accounting Internship 2-21
Description
The position of Accounting Office Intern reports to the Controller. This position is responsible for providing assistance to the Accounting Department in completing daily tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash handling, filing, data entry and creating reports for ISFC staff.
Responsibilities
- Inputting claim vouchers into the accounts payable system, documenting payments and mailing/distributing checks.
- Assist with collections procedures for concessionaires during the Fair.
- Assist with invoicing, entering receivables and creating deposits.
- Assist with filing.
- Assist with creating reports for various staff and Fair Board Directors.
Qualifications
Summer interns at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center work throughout the season preparing for and assisting with the execution of the annual Indiana State Fair. All interns, regardless of department, learn to work closely as a team, to be organized and to deliver a top-notch customer experience. Specialized skills for this position include.
This position may work with and build relationships with any of several State government officials, State Fair Commission and Board members, contractors, vendors, law enforcement, emergency response personnel, exhibitors, sponsors and the general public.
