Description

This position is ideal for an undergraduate student seeking either 1)  a paid semester internship to gain experience or 2)  a paid co-op experience committing to 3 semesters of full-time work while also earning academic credits.   Students selected for one of these opportunities must possess a passion for and exposure to software/hardware engineering and programming.

Responsibilities

Assist with engineering functions for implementing projects that include industrial control and information technologies such as:

.   PLC ladder logic

.   Industrial networks

.   Operator interface and supervisory control applications

.   Industrial control panel fabrication

.   Control drawings and network diagrams

.   Technical documentation

Interact regularly with various engineering team members throughout the semester 

 

Qualifications

Must possess a GPA of 3.3 or above in Major coursework

Exposure to engineering software/hardware/programming

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools

Basic understanding of manufacturing,  automation,  industrial controls and information systems

Previous experience in team-driven technical projects

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to constantly learn and apply new technologies

Commitment to outstanding customer service and follow-through
