Member Relations Intern

The Member Relations Intern will help create, design, and organize information and events that will directly influence the prosperity of the businesses. This is an exciting role for anyone interested in pursuing a career in communications or in public relations, and will offer individuals a unique opportunity to connect with influential business professionals and community leaders. Individuals will have the opportunity to exit this internship with written publications to be added to their professional portfolio and several new contacts from throughout the business community.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all forms of media
• Assist in writing, organizing, and proofing the annual Niles Visitor Guide and Business Directory
• Write press releases and other miscellaneous copy materials
• Create or update databases
• Help maintain communication with member businesses
• Assist in planning and executing Chamber meetings and events
  
  

Qualifications

• Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, or Journalism major
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid understanding of social media
• Writing skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
